Rebuilding credit can take time, but the results are worth the wait!

Rebuilding credit will be necessary after a bankruptcy, or other such disaster!

This section will deal with how to rebuild your credit!

These are the very same techniques I used when I had to re-establish my credit. I will show you what I did and I will do my best to provide the necessary information to get you through it!

Step #1. Get a copy of your credit report! A free copy will do for starters because you will need to carefully examine it to compare what is in it to your records.

Take all the time you need because you are laying the groundwork for re-establishing and rebuilding your credit and the groundwork you start with will make the difference in how difficult this process is.You need to be as accurate as possible here because one of the reasons for getting a negative item removed from your credit report is Inaccuracy! Rebuilding credit will depend on your accuracy in finding errors in your credit report!

I'll provide a link to Annual Credit Report here for you to use.

This service is a free service you can use to get a look at your credit report once every 12 months. If you need to make repairs, you should enroll in a credit monitoring service because you will need to check your credit reports for longer than 30 days.

30 Days is how long you get to use your credit report from Annual Credit Report. Remeber, I said I got my score up from 486 to 729 in a little over a year! It was 16 months to be exact! This is why rebuilding credit requires an enrollment to a credit monitoring service!

Step #2. First, you want to look for anything that is Innacurate. Are any amounts you owe wrong? Are amounts showing as still standing that were paid off? Are paid items that may have been in collection showing as chargeoffs? You get the idea! Anything that is innacurate is suspect and grounds for asking for an investigation!

Unverifiable! There's the next category you need to look into! Has a creditor from your credit report gone bankrupt themselves or out of business? I found two such items on my credit report. If the original creditor cannot validate the debt, then those which cannot are great candidates to be removed from your credit file! Incorrect! This one speaks for itself! When you find items on your report that are incorrect and you need to challenge them, you need to be prepared to say what in the debt information is incorrect. If you challenge the entire debt as incorrect without giving a reason as to why you believe the item is incorrect, your inquiry will be treated as frivolous and they may even send you a letter stating so.

If you think you could benefit from the assistance of a credit repair specialist, you can go to that section by
