What an even bigger load! Not legally they can't! Some will try and get you to apply for a new taxpayer identification number or EIN for Employer Identification Number for the sole purpose of trying to build a completely new credit history!

However people still get taken because the con artists will often leave out important details and this way they are not aware that what they are being asked to do is illegal!

Those looking for credit card debt help seem to miss the point that even if they do this and still are using the same name and address, your bad credit file will just follow you and you will still have the same history!

SCam no. 4 "We can clean up your credit fast and get you that much needed credit card, mortgage or loan!"

And this is the biggest load of all! This scam is one of the most recent and costly. Con artists will dangle the much needed loan or mortgage in front of the consumer like a carrot as the incentive to get you to pay and pay and pay! By the time they are done, you are out a lot of money and still no loan, credit card or mortgage!

Scam no. 5 "You can just call our handy 1-900 number and we will give you secret details on how to fix your credit!"

BULL! This scam can be used with any above offer and while they keep you on the line for as long as possible, you are paying per minute charges for the call!

The one thing all these have in common is that scammers are vague on details and if your having trouble getting a clear answer of how they plan to help you clean up your credit, that's not a good sign!

Also any offers of a guaranteed line of credit is almost certainly a good reason to be wary of fraud.

Now I know this site has been to help you get credit repair knowledge and not everyone will do this as fast as I did!
